We are seeking an experienced Electrician Mate/Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical systems, particularly in industrial settings, and will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings.
- Support licensed electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues and conducting repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all electrical work.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuits, and control systems.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools associated with electrical work.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
