Introduction
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated
Project Manager to lead the critical transition of our SAP Payroll system from
SAP ECC to SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) across our key Asia Pacific (AP) markets:
India, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Japan.
The ECP Payroll Project Manager will be the central driver for this multi-country, high-impact project, ensuring successful implementation, compliance with local regulations, and a smooth organisational change experience within the AP region.
Your Role And Responsibilities
The ECP Payroll Project Manager will be responsible for the full project lifecycle of the SAP ECC to ECP transition for the specified AP countries.
Project Leadership & Execution
- SAP ECP Transition Focus: Lead the planning, execution, and deployment of the SAP ECC Payroll sunset and the subsequent implementation of SAP ECP in India, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Japan.
- Project Governance: Manage comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, critical path tracking, and strict budget adherence.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, analyse, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing robust mitigation strategies and executing timely escalation when necessary.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Project Management Expertise: Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager leading large-scale, complex HR/Payroll transformation projects.
- AP Deployment Experience (Critical): Significant and demonstrated experience in managing multi-country payroll system deployments, specifically within the Asia Pacific region, ideally including the listed countries (India, HK, China, Taiwan, Japan).
- SAP Payroll Domain Knowledge: Strong practical understanding of SAP Payroll systems, particularly with deployment experience of SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP). Experience managing the transition from SAP ECC Payroll is a significant advantage.
- Payroll Process Knowledge: In-depth functional knowledge of core payroll processes, statutory reporting, and key regulatory requirements across various AP countries is highly desirable.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership ability with proven success in managing geographically dispersed, culturally diverse teams and complex stakeholder groups.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is a strong asset.
