Role Overview: Index Engines, the world's leading analytics engine to detect corruption due to ransomware, is looking for an experienced Director of Product Management to join the team. This role is responsible for the User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) functions for the CyberSense platform. This person will serve as a Product Owner for the UI/UX scrum teams and will need to work closely with the Scrum Master and other scrum team members to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on the priorities, dependencies, deliverables, and schedules.
The Director of Product Management will be required to work with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, and Technical Pre-Sales, to create and groom an effective product backlog. Requirements gathering and the ability to effectively prioritize will be a key responsibility of this role. The Director of Product Management will need to collaborate with customers and OEM partners, with support from Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Support, to collect, refine and prioritize feature development.
Job Responsibilities
Product Owner for UI/UX scrum teams
Develop, maintain, and actively manage the product backlog for the UI/UX scrum teams
Data-driven approach to relentlessly validate priorities
Develop effective Epics and User Stories to guide engineering designs and execution plans
Engage customers and OEM's to capture and validate ideas, requests and requirements
Effective communication of the current sprint payload, roadmap, priorities and schedules cross-functionally with Index Engines key stakeholder teams
Collaborate with Support on developing and implementing formal notifications, updates, and service bulletins related to the CyberSense platform for customers, OEMs, and internally within Index Engines
Job Requirements
Experience with Agile Scrum development methodologies and understanding of software development processes
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products through their lifecycle
A passion for technology and ability to stay on top of evolving market trends and technologies
Ability to grasp new technologies and learn them quickly
Strong business technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-grade software capabilities
Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop work in relationships at all levels of the organization, both inside and outside Index Engines
Prior experience and technical knowledge in the areas of analytics, data protection, cyber security or storage are highly desirable
Outstanding problem-solving skills ability to define and structure problems, collect and analyze data, and synthesize defendable recommendations into actionable plans
Ability to lead, influence, and hold cross-functional teams accountable
Clear, effective communication and strong presentation skills with a keen ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
5-8+ years of experience in product management and agile software development best practices, including release management for technologies in the cyber security, cyber resiliency, data protection or enterprise storage space
3-5+ years of software UI/UX experience
3-5+ years of experience working with and selling through OEM partners, is preferred
S. / B.A. in a computer science or related field is desired
Required location is Pune, India
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment
Ability to travel as required
