This role is for a USPharma GCC in hyderabad,India. As the Senior Director, Engineering GCC, you will be the senior-most engineering leader in India, responsible for shaping the strategy, growth, and performance of all GCC-based engineering teams. This role is central to GCC transformation into a modern, data-driven, and AI-enabled organization.
You'll lead multiple global engineering teams across Digital Platforms, Data, Quality, DevOps, CloudOps and Application Development ensuring innovation, velocity, and reliability at scale.
You will work closely with the Vice President, Product Engineering and the Vice President, Infrastructure on the U.S. side to align strategy, technology, and delivery execution across global teams. Partnering with U.S. technology and product leaders, you'll help architect organisation future-ready platform and deliver products that improve the lives of millions.

Lead and Inspire
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all GCC engineering teams.
- Build and scale a world-class engineering organization that complements organisation U.S. operations.
- Shape the GCC's culture around innovation, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
Drive Engineering Excellence
- Lead delivery of scalable, secure, and performant digital platforms and data systems.
- Establish best-in-class engineering practices cloud-native architecture (AWS), CI/CD, DevSecOps, and test automation.
- Set and monitor measurable engineering KPIs: velocity, quality, uptime, and release predictability.
Foster Global Collaboration
- Partner closely with U.S. Product, Data, and Engineering leadership to align priorities, outcomes, and delivery models.
- Act as the primary bridge between GCC and U.S. teams ensuring transparency, consistency, and shared accountability.
Build the Future
- Lead modernization initiatives spanning microservices, data engineering, and AI-driven automation.
- Drive AI and GenAI adoption for productivity, personalization, and platform intelligence.
- Develop and empower next-generation engineering leaders in India through structured mentorship and career growth programs.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 7+ years in senior leadership roles managing large, distributed teams.
- Proven success building and scaling global engineering centers (India/U.S.) in technology-driven organizations.
- Deep expertise in cloud architecture (AWS preferred), microservices, API-first development, and modern UI frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) and API-first development
- Experience driving quality automation and strategy across complex, distributed systems using testing tools such as Cypress (preferred), Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Experience leading cross-domain teams spanning Digital, Data, and Quality Engineering.
- Strong track record of driving transformation, improving delivery velocity, and achieving measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent leadership presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills across geographies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefits, or related industries.
- Familiarity with AI/ML and agentic automation tools.
- Deep understanding of secure software development practices for handling PHI/PII.
- Experience leading site growth, organizational design, and scaling initiatives in global tech centers.
