About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director, Enterprise Applications to lead our Enterprise Applications teams from India GCC. This role will be responsible for delivering strategic, scalable, and business-aligned application solutions across key functions such as Finance, ERP, HR, Supply chain, Order Management, Customer Service and corporate systems. Partnering closely with global stakeholders, the leader will play a key role in modernizing the application landscape to support growth, operational efficiency and digital transformation. As a key member of the Technology leadership team, you will drive technical excellence, operational maturity, and innovation at scale, in alignment with global Enterprise Applications leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Applications Strategy & Delivery: In partnership with the Global Enterprise Apps Leadership team, lead the India enterprise applications teams responsible for the development, support and enhancement of global enterprise platforms - Finance, ERP, HR, Supply chain, Order Management, Customer Service and corporate systems. Collaborate with global Enterprise Applications leaders and business leaders to define and execute roadmaps that align with global business priorities. Oversee the implementation of new solutions, integrations, and system upgrades while ensuring minimal business disruption. Drive standardization, automation and modernization of application platforms across regions.
- Program and portfolio management: Manage a portfolio of enterprise applications initiatives with a focus on value delivery, timeline, budget and quality. Champion agile and DevOps methodologies to drive faster and more iterative delivery cycles. Ensure effective governance, risk management, and reporting mechanisms across programs.
- Business Partnership & Global Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to global business and IT stakeholders, ensuring enterprise applications meet evolving business needs. Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions and applications architectures. Foster strong working relationships with business functions such as Finance, HR, Supply chain, Order Management, Merchandise, Business Systems and Enterprise Integrations to enable digital transformation.
- Leadership and Talent development: Build and lead high performing teams with capabilities in configuration, development, support and testing. Set clear goals, objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team. Invest in coaching, upskilling, and creating a talent pipeline for future leadership roles. Instill a culture of innovation, ownership and excellence.
- Operational Excellence & Support: Ensure high levels of availability, performance and support for enterprise systems, including adherence to SLAs, and incident resolutions. Establish and track KPIs for application performance, user satisfaction and operational efficiency. Collaboration with infrastructure and security teams to ensure application security and compliance with global policies.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise applications leadership roles, preferably in retail, consumer or e-commerce domain.
- Strong hands on knowledge of platforms such as Workday, Salesforce, Oracle Cloud or similar ERP/enterprise tools.
- Proven track record of leading large transformation programs and managing multi-functional global teams.
- Experience of working in a GCC or shared service model with strong understanding of global-local execution dynamics.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
- Certifications in project management (PMP, Agile, SAFe) or application platforms are a plus.
- Strong grasp of compliance, security and data privacy in global retail environments.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder communication and cross functional collaboration skills.
- Data driven, analytical, strong communicator, who understands and relishes in the big picture, but understands the importance of every detail.
