To partner us in this mission, we are looking for a talented

Director - Core Health Insurance Systems, Information Technology

This role requires the candidate to have significant knowledge of health insurance and a demonstrated ability to build technology platforms and solutions to enable our business ambitions.

As a Director Core Health Insurance Systems, your typical week might include the following.

  • Lead strategic design, implementation, management and evolution of Core Health Insurance systems for individual and group health insurance to power business management activities; Collaborate with functions including but not limited to Product & Actuarial, Operations, Compliance, Risk Management and Finance
  • Build deep understanding & knowledge of our business strategy among technology function and leverage this knowledge to deliver core health insurance system implementations.
  • Guide design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future enterprise business strategy.
  • Ensure adoption and implementation of defined solutions; Provide technical expertise to enable the application design & iteration; Guide system integration plans and review progress; take corrective action timely to course correct implementation.
  • Vendor Partner Management Lead contract negotiations, licensing, maintenance contracts and service level agreements
  • Implement data driven, experience-led health insurance system implementations spanning new business, underwriting & issuance, policy servicing & claims management.
    • Demonstrate thought & action leadership in systems design & implementation for NB, Claims and Policy Owner Services processes to drive reimagined customer experience & operating efficiency.
    • Lead teams to understand & refine business requirements and convert them into technology implementations considering Functionality, Interoperability, Performance, Scalability, Reliability & Availability
    • Map system linkages across the functions; identify target state capabilities; create a defined roadmap to materialize the same; measure & report process with real impact on business metrics.
    • Power new products launches & modifications to achieve customer and financial KPIs; Oversee component modelling, backend & frontend integration strategy & execution.
  • Collaborate with key technology leaders across front-end platforms, data engineering, solution architecture, Group security integration, and infrastructure teams.
    • Ensure adoption and implementation of defined solutions aligned with solution architecture; Provide oversight to the application design & iteration.
    • Guide teams application of design principles that comply with enterprise and solution architecture standards.
  • Ensure that the collaborative nature of capabilities such as design and engineering is coupled with tight governance around non-negotiables like security, availability and performance.
    • Oversee core systems alerting frameworks, exception reviews, logs and events to build a preventive stance towards any site reliability or performance issues.
    • Drive Prevention of Recurrence and lead teams to build Effective monitoring frameworks get feedback from production to increase customer experience at all key touchpoints.
    • Manage and prioritize new transformation projects, ongoing support, and technical debt.
You could be the right candidate, if you have

  • Proven experience as a leader in health insurance core insurance systems, with overall insurance experience of atleast 15 years; excellent knowledge of technical architecture of core health insurance systems
  • End-to-end knowledge of health insurance business and processes; deep familiarity with health insurance insurance products and operations processes
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business strategy, target customer experience and drive successful implementation of technology solutions.
  • Built best-in-class technology implementations from scratch, with proven business impact.
  • Thrive in environments that celebrate co-creation and collaboration.
  • High resilience can manage yourself, your teams and your peers when faced with ambiguity or failure.
  • Have the ability and willingness to be hands-on with strong attention to detail.
  • Can work independently and handle multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Have excellent organizational, vendor management, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
