Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with 23 years of experience to join our Technology Operations team. This role involves working in a rotational shift setup to ensure 24/7 availability, reliability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will collaborate closely with development, QA, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor production infrastructure and services (Linux, AWS, etc.)
- Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Automate infrastructure with tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and root cause analysis
- Implement and monitor system performance metrics and alerts (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Perform regular system upgrades, patching, and backups
- Work in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Participate in infrastructure capacity planning and cost optimization.
- Follow best practices for security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 23 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or System Administration roles.
Skills And Experience
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Working knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience in writing shell/Python scripts for automation.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Exposure to monitoring/logging tools like ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
- Basic understanding of network concepts (DNS, Load Balancer, VPN, etc.)
- Ability to work in rotational shifts including weekends and night shifts.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
