Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain High Availability (HA) Kubernetes clusters.
  • Work extensively on AWS services such as EC2, VPC, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, VPC Peering, S3, IAM, SNS, SES, etc.
  • Develop automation scripts for EC2 provisioning, Kubernetes upgrades, and automated deployments.
  • Manage CNI networking using Calico/Weave.
  • Work with API Gateways like Emissary and Envoy.
  • Deploy and manage Kafka clusters using the Strimzi Operator.
  • Deploy and manage microservices on Kubernetes.
  • Monitor, manage, and maintain Development, QA, and Production environments.
  • Analyze cloud usage and implement cost optimization strategies.
  • Participate in 24/7 production support on a rotational basis.
  • Design and implement DevOps automations and lifecycle processes.
  • Manage configuration, deployments, and orchestration using Kubernetes/Docker Swarm.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Argo CD, Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Configure networking including VPN, routing, HTTPS/SSL, and load balancing.
  • Support ELK Stack for logging and monitoring.

Required Skills & Technologies

Cloud Platforms

  • AWS: VPC, Route 53, EC2, Auto Scaling, ELB, SES, SNS, NAT Gateway, EIP, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Security Groups, Subnets, ACLs, VPC Peering.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Argo CD, Ansible, GitHub/Bitbucket, Bitbucket Pipelines.

Artifact Management

  • Nexus (or equivalent)

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Terraform, Crossplane, or CloudFormation

Monitoring & Logging

  • ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch

Scripting & OS

  • Strong Shell scripting (Bash) on Linux/Ubuntu

Networking

  • VPN configuration, routing, load balancing, HTTPS/SSL

Experience Required

  • 3+ years in Configuration Management and CI/CD implementation
  • 2-4 years in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Linux scripting
  • 3+ years in Shell scripting and cloud automation (AWS/Azure)
  • 2+ years handling Production cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform/Crossplane/CloudFormation
  • Experience with Elasticsearch clustering and HTTPS/SSL setup
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to multi-cloud (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience in cloud cost optimization & scaling
  • Familiarity with secure DevOps practices
  • Basic understanding of AI/LLM concepts (added advantage)
