Title DevOps & DR Technology Working Group Lead
Role To establish, activate, and operate the DevOps & DR Working Group, ensuring group-wide
adoption of standardized DevOps practices and robust disaster recovery capabilities
Responsibilities 1. Activation Of The Working Group
- Develop the charter, goals, and operational framework for the DevOps & DR
Working Group.
- Identify and onboard key members from various business lines.
- Create and oversee the initial roadmap for DevOps and DR initiatives.
- DevOps Leadership:
- Define and implement CI/CD pipeline standards across all business lines.
- Promote the adoption of and automation tools
- Drive standardization of tools and processes for consistent software delivery.
- Disaster Recovery Planning:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) policies and procedures.
- Define Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for
critical systems.
- Plan and execute DR drills to ensure organizational readiness.
- Collaboration and Alignment:
- Collaborate with other working groups (e.g., Cybersecurity, Development) to
ensure alignment.
- Work closely with business lines to tailor DevOps and DR practices to their unique
needs.
- Serve as a liaison with the Technology Steering Committee (SteerCo).
- Management and Reporting:
- Oversee working group activities, ensuring goals are met on schedule.
- Provide regular progress reports and insights to the SteerCo and senior
management
Skills
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and
infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Expertise in monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in developing DR strategies, RTO/RPO definitions, and failover
mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with backup, failover, and high-availability tools.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and working groups.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and track progress.
- Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies.
Experience 6-10 years in in DevOps, disaster recovery, or related fields
35 years of experience managing teams or projects in DevOps and DR
Familiar with working with distributed teams or global operations
Educational Background
Qualifications
- BSC or MSC in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred)
- AWS/Azure/GCP DevOps Engineer Certification.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (DRCS) or related certifications
Work Location:
Hyderabad, India
Work Week:
Sunday to Thursday.
International Travel as needed.
