About The Team You Are Joining

OLIVER is looking to recruit a Development Team Lead to work with our offshore teams as a dedicated team member, on a long-term basis.

The role is fast paced and responsive, working across multiple projects within the organisation.

The candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with internal teams on a professional level about tasks, timings, project status and requirements.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience (5+) working on enterprise level web applications showing an ability to work in many languages and stacks.

What Is Required For This Role

The underlying technology stack should be less important to you than the architecture and design principles and you need to show an understanding of good design principles. You will have a good understanding of current security threats with web applications and the means to mitigate them. You will need to demonstrate the ability to mentor developers and lead to small teams helping them to write better software. You need to have a good eye for detail as you will need to peer review a lot of different code. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to talk technical with developers whilst being able to deal with product owners in a less technical way. You will be someone who wishes to move away from day to day coding and instead taking on a more leading role which requires more focus on understanding the product roadmap and solutions plus managing the timely delivery of work. You will also have been involved in managing Production systems with an understanding of how to manage issues on a live system.

What You Will Have

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Intermediate to advanced experience in all layers of the software stack
• Either played a mentoring or team lead role
• Worked on web applications for enterprise use
• Worked on APIs and integration of multiple systems

• Experience of working with Postgresql
• Experience of working with Perl
• Experience of working with Linux
• Experience of working with SAML2
• Experience of working with LLMs or ML
• Experience of working with a modern JS framework
