Hybrid Working
Structured Hybrid Role
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction
The holder of this role will be responsible for the accuracy and ultimate suitability of the end to end solution required to fulfil the goals of the various programmes/projects. They will provide domain knowledge and architectural direction across the application landscape and will ensure that the end to end design supports agreed scope, is fit for purpose, is fully resilient and scalable. They will need to keep themselves up to date with Industry trends, Technology domains and Fintech Offerings
What will you be doing
- Create Functional/Integration Designs for Applications and their peripheral applications
- Translate Business requirements to Interface Requirements for Vendor as well as Internal Barclays systems
- Review and participate in the Functional Solution
- Maintain requirements / analysis traceability from design deliverables to business requirements.
- High level application functional specifications, Detailed interface requirements, System business flows.
- Define High level User Interface storyboards
- Coordinate meetings and discussions with stakeholders and team members
- Conduct walk-through of recommended system functionality and prototypes with stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- E2E Design experience in a Technology landscape
- Strong analytical/problem solving mind set with the ability and willingness to get into the details to find solutions
- Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
- Interpersonal, communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Strong knowledge of e2e payment life cycle and workflow
- Prior experience of Vendor/COTS solutions in Banking domains
- Project delivery practices and methodologies
Skills That Will Help You In The Role
- Ability to analyse complex problems, think logically and visualise E2E solutions for complex business problems
- Construct and articulate solutions and design options for given scope
- Strong technical background, able to define system design and architecture flows
- Strong co-ordination skills, to work in a technical and complex function.
- Excellent relationship skills, requirement to work with multiple teams across the bank to deliver change
- Strong written and verbal communication skills aligned with good networking skills
