In the capacity of Design / Senior Design Engineer - NPD - Piston Technology, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end product development cycle, focusing on the creation and enhancement of innovative piston technologies. Your work will directly contribute to reducing the Time to Market while elevating the technical expertise within the GECIA teams through a solution-centric methodology. You will engage in strategizing and implementing projects with the dual objective of on-time delivery and achieving a first-time right approach, ensuring high-quality standards throughout.
You are expected to spearhead efforts in product innovation and development of technology platforms, taking full accountability for planning and monitoring project milestones within the framework of GECIA's organizational processes. Furthermore, your role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to harmonize design objectives with manufacturing feasibility and end-user requirements, promoting continuous improvement and technological advancement.
Through your thorough understanding of mechanical design principles, you will analyze and optimize component designs, validate concepts, and ensure that compliance with international standards is maintained. You will also provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a learning environment that aligns with the company's mission to nurture talent and drive engineering excellence.
