JOB DESCRIPTION:

Yourjob responsibilities will include,

.Working knowledge of handing GST relatedcompliances independently, including GST refunds, annual returns, and auditsunder GST

.Managing clients on independent basis. Regularupdating technical knowledge.

.Updating and tracking latest developments inthe Indirect tax domain

.Handling advisory and routine compliance workunder GST and Customs which includes:

oPreparation of opinion / note / memo on anyindirect tax issues / business transactions

oExpert research skill

oSpecial advisory assignments such as Healthchecks, Tax due diligences etc

oExperience in handling litigation matters likereply to SCN, preparation of appeals, assessments, etc

oReview of workings prepared by client andjunior team members

oFiling returns

Operations:

.Leading indirect tax engagements (Compliance,Representation and Advisory)

oScoping

oTechnical and quality reviews

oOn-time delivery

oClient liaison

.Being a consultant/advisor on indirect taxmatters to other practices across all locations

.Risk management from an indirect taxperspective on all engagements across all locations

Clientsand business development:

.Managing and maintaining relationship withclients

.Identifying new opportunities for servingexisting clients

.Targeting and obtaining work from potentialclients

.Development of the Practice and promotion ofthe organization's brand name - articles in publications, speaker at seminars,etc

Building and managing a team (minimum 3 team members)including recruitment, appraisals, developing training material and providingtraining to team members

Commercial:Achieving target billing and meeting related financial metrics

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

.A strongpassion and interest for tax

.Chartered/CostAccountant with 4+ years of experience in indirect tax

oSpecialist knowledge of service tax and VAT

oWorking knowledge of excise and customs

.Knowledge and expertise to handle litigation/departmental matters of erstwhile laws such as service tax, excise, VAT,customs

.Advance excel skill in candidates will bepreferred

.Talent/ Knack/ understanding of the manner ofcommunicating / liaising with department officer

.Experience in compliance, representation andadvisory

.Should have been in a client facing role

.Supervisory/leadership experience of at least 2years

.Assistant Manager/Sr. Consultant in a Big 4 or Partner/Manager in a mid-sizedfirm (of more than 4 partners)

.Excellent written and spoken communicationskills
