Role Overview
The Practice Lead will be responsible for driving TCTSs Network Engineering & Managed Services practice, covering Transport, IP/MPLS, SD-WAN, Wireless (RAN), and Packet Core domains.
The role focuses on end-to-end network transformation, operations excellence, and managed services delivery across global telecom operators, with accountability for practice growth, solution leadership, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Practice Strategy & Growth
- Define and execute domain-led practice strategy across:
- Transport (DWDM, OTN, Optical)
- IP/MPLS & Core Networks
- SD-WAN / SDN
- RAN (4G/5G) and Packet Core
- Drive growth of network managed services, engineering, and transformation programs
- Build domain-led differentiation in NOC services, L2/L3 operations, and field operations
2. Solutioning & RFP Leadership
- Lead large and complex network managed services RFPs (NOC, field ops, transformation deals)
- Define:
- Network operating model (L1L3)
- Service delivery framework across multi-domain networks
- SLA/KPI constructs (availability, latency, MTTR, utilization)
- Anchor solutions across:
- Multi-vendor ecosystems (Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
3. Network Engineering & Operations Leadership
- Provide leadership across:
- Network design, planning, rollout, optimization, and operations
- Drive best practices in:
- Incident, problem, change, and performance management
- Network capacity planning and lifecycle management
- Ensure operational excellence across:
- Fault management, performance management, configuration management
4. Domain Expertise Ownership
Transport Networks
- Optical networks (DWDM, OTN, SDH, Microwave)
- Network rollout, commissioning, and maintenance
IP & Core Networks
- MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, EVPN
- Core network architecture and traffic engineering
SD-WAN / Edge Networks
- Enterprise connectivity solutions
- SD-WAN design, deployment, and lifecycle operations
Wireless (RAN)
- 4G/5G RAN design, rollout, and optimization
- SON, RIC, and radio performance engineering
Packet Core
- EPC/5G Core (SA/NSA)
- IMS, VoLTE/VoNR, Cloud-native core deployments
5. Delivery & Transformation Programs
- Lead large-scale network transformation programs:
- Network modernization (legacy next-gen)
- Cost optimization and network efficiency programs
- Drive execution across:
- Multi-technology, multi-vendor environments
- Ensure alignment with customer goals:
- Service quality improvement
- Network expansion and scalability
6. Practice Capability & Team Building
- Build and lead SMEs across:
- Transport, IP, Wireless, Core domains
- Drive competency development in:
- Multi-domain NOC operations
- Network design & architecture
- Enable strong delivery governance and quality frameworks
7. Customer Engagement (CxO Level)
- Act as a trusted advisor to CTO/CIO organizations
- Lead:
- Solution workshops
- Technical discussions and transformation roadmaps
- Support deal defense and executive presentations

- Experience in integrating and operating heterogeneous network environments
D. Network Transformation & Engineering
- Proven experience in:
- Network rollout, migration, optimization
- Large-scale transformation programs
- Strong understanding of:
- Network lifecycle (PlanDesignBuildOperate)
E. Leadership & Business Skills
- Practice management and growth ownership
- Pre-sales and RFP leadership
- Customer-facing leadership at executive level
Preferred Experience
- 15+ years in telecom networks / managed services
- Experience with:
- Tier-1 telecom operators
- Global delivery and transformation programs
- Proven leadership in network engineering + operations environments
