Job Title: Denial Medical Coder
Location: Chennai
Experience: 13 years in Denial Coding
Qualification: Life Science / Biotechnology / Nursing / Allied Health background
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes related to denied claims.
- Analyze payer denials and identify root causes (coding errors, documentation gaps, non-coverage, etc.).
- Work on coding corrections, appeals, and resubmissions to ensure claim resolution.
- Ensure compliance with official coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements.
- Meet productivity and accuracy targets on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes, and payer denial reasons.
- Familiarity with US healthcare RCM cycle and denial management.
- Coding certification preferred (CPC / CCS).
- Good analytical and communication skills.
