Delivery Manager Data Platform Delivery

Role

Kanerika is a global Data, AI and Intelligent Automation company helping enterprises modernize their data platforms through AI-powered accelerators and delivery excellence. Our proprietary FLIP Migration Accelerators enable organizations to migrate legacy ETL, BI and analytics platforms to modern cloud ecosystems significantly faster and with lower risk. As customer adoption of FLIP continues to grow, we are looking for a highly experienced delivery leader to own end-to-end execution of migration and modernization programs. The Director – Data Platform Delivery will lead multiple customer engagements involving data platform modernization, ETL migrations, BI modernization, cloud data engineering, analytics, and AI-driven transformation initiatives. The individual will be responsible for ensuring successful execution of projects delivered through FLIP Migration Accelerators while building a high-performing delivery organization that consistently delivers quality, predictability, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role combines technical leadership, program management, customer engagement, people leadership, and delivery governance.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership • Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent customer engagements. • Drive successful implementation of FLIP Migration Accelerator projects. • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and at high quality. • Build delivery governance, review mechanisms, and risk management processes. • Manage project financials including margins, utilization, forecasting, and profitability.

Customer Success • Act as executive delivery owner for strategic customers. • Conduct steering committee meetings. • Build trusted relationships with customer executives. • Manage escalations proactively. • Drive customer satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities.

Technical Leadership

Provide delivery oversight across projects involving: • Data Engineering • Data Warehousing • Cloud Data Platforms • ETL Modernization • Data Migration • BI Modernization • Data Lakes • Lakehouse Architectures • Data Governance • Analytics Platforms

Program Management

• Establish PMO standards. People Leadership

• Lead large migration programs across multiple workstreams.

• Manage project plans, dependencies, RAID logs, and resource allocation.

• Drive Agile delivery practices where applicable.

• Monitor KPIs and executive dashboards.

• Lead Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Architects, Technical Leads, and Engineering teams.

• Mentor future delivery leaders.

• Build capability in cloud data engineering and migration delivery.

• Participate in hiring and workforce planning.

• Drive utilization and resource optimization.

• Define delivery playbooks for FLIP implementations.

• Standardize project execution methodologies.

• Improve automation across delivery lifecycle.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to security, quality, and compliance standards.

Collaboration Partner closely with: • Sales • Presales • Product Management • Engineering • Customer Success • Architecture • R&D • Executive Leadership to ensure successful customer outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 18+ years of overall IT experience, with 8+ years leading enterprise data engineering or delivery of large-scale BI Migration, Data Warehousing, or Analytics delivery programs.

• Proven experience delivering enterprise BI migration projects using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, or Qlik.

• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, SQL, data modeling, reporting architectures, and BI modernization.

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Databricks.

• Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or Fabric certifications are a plus.

• Strong delivery management experience with expertise in project planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, budgeting, and delivery governance.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments with excellent communication and client management skills.

• PMP, Scrum Master, or other Project Management certifications are preferred.
