Role Overview:
We're hiring a pragmatic, people-first Delivery Manager to drive world-class delivery for our product and platform teams. You'll be the coach, conductor and continuous-improvement lead who ensures sprints flow, work moves predictably, feedback and reviews happen, and the team levels up — benchmarking our ways of working and delivery metrics with top engineering organisations.
This is not just a process role — it's about partnering with product, engineering, QA, clinical and operations stakeholders to reliably deliver high-quality, compliant healthcare software.
What you'll do (key responsibilities)
Team & People
- Coach engineering teams (and product owners) in Agile/Lean practices — scrum, Kanban, and hybrid flows — promoting autonomy and accountability.
- Run or coach all sprint ceremonies as appropriate (planning, refinement, standups, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure they add value.
- Foster a culture of continuous feedback: ensure frequent 1:1s, performance reviews, career coaching and development plans.
- Mentor engineers and engineers-in-transition into better delivery behaviours (definition of done, code review, testing, CI/CD).
Delivery & Flow
- Ensure sprint flow and predictability: manage backlog health, sprint commitment vs. delivery, and unblock work across teams.
- Drive prioritisation with Product and Clinical leads to deliver the highest-value, lowest-risk work first (clinical features, safety, integrations).
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and releases (platform, telehealth, HL7 interfaces, device integrations).
- Lead sprint planning and capacity planning — ensure realistic commitments, capacity buffers for incident/ops work.
Quality & Compliance
- Partner with QA, Security and Clinical Safety to embed quality and compliance into delivery (automated testing, release gating, incident post-mortems).
- Ensure teams meet ISO 27001 and healthcare regulatory expectations during delivery (evidence for audits, secure release processes).
Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Define, measure and report delivery metrics and health indicators: sprint predictability, cycle time, lead time, deployment frequency, mean time to recovery, defect escape rate, code review cadence.
- Benchmark these metrics and ways of working against industry leaders and best practices; run experiments to improve velocity, quality and predictability.
- Facilitate healthy retrospectives and implement measurable improvements.
Stakeholder & Release Management
- Communicate status, risks and delivery forecasts to senior leadership, product and clinical stakeholders.
- Orchestrate releases end-to-end: release planning, stakeholder readiness, rollback plans and post-release validation.
- Manage vendor / third-party delivery where required (device partners, integration vendors).
Experience & skills (must-have)
- 5+ years delivering software products in a hands-on Delivery Manager / Agile Coach / Scrum
- Master / Technical Program Manager capacity; experience in SaaS companies preferred.
- Proven track record coaching teams to improve delivery outcomes and engineering practices.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile frameworks and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, trunk-based development, automated testing, code review).
- Experience with healthcare or regulated environments (clinical software, HL7/FHIR integrations, telehealth) or strong aptitude to work with clinical stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), deployment pipelines, and platform engineering tradeoffs.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Data-driven: experience defining and tracking delivery KPIs (lead time, cycle time, MTTR, defect rates).
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD tooling and observability tools.
Why CareMonitor
- Impact: help scale a product that improves patient outcomes and modernises virtual care.
- Mission-driven team with strong compliance and security posture (ISO 27001).
- Modern cloud stack and the chance to shape processes and coach teams end-to-end.
