At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction

The PMO Analyst (PMO) role is focused on supporting CDS and its Project Management Office (PMO) team. This variously involves activities including but not limited to: Coordination of regular governance arrangements; Tracking project deliverable and milestone statuses; Supporting adoption of / adherence to project lifecycle; RAID coordination; Regular reporting and analytics; supporting financial tracking activities; Workforce management; Change request management; Stakeholder management; Post-project reviews; Project closure activities, etc. It also includes provision of guidance, preparation of documentation and tracking of metrics related to the practices surrounding the management and implementation of projects within the organization.

What will you be doing

  • Ensuring strong project governance and compliance with Portfolio Execution standards while providing direct and proactive support / coordination across a range of aspects, including but not limited to: Keeping abreast of all governance aspects; Coordination of outline / detailed business cases, stakeholder management plans, working groups, formal project governance forums, business outcome / milestone management, project closure activities, change request management, coordinating lessons learnt, project reporting and Navigator record management, and being a primary point of contact interfacing with Portfolio Execution, PWG and other PMO functions in other parts of the wider business external to CDS.
  • Supporting financial forecasting and tracking, workforce management (e.g. on-boarding/off-boarding resources, resource/hiring tracking, etc.), Resource Allocation Forecast (RAF) discrepancy analysis, role allocation, timesheet management across CDS team, and interfacing with Business Management teams and HR teams.
  • Engagement with various stakeholders at all levels within and outside CDS (e.g. Portfolio Execution, Portfolio Working Group, Finance, directors and other senior management, PMOs in other business areas external to CDS, CDS teams, Business Management, HR, Talent Acquisition, etc.
  • Provision of project analytics and reporting, including but not limited to maintenance of management dashboards and executive summaries, provision of MI on change control, finances, RAIDS, etc. with supporting commentaries and insights.
  • Challenging the way we work in order to pursue consistently excellent outputs. This includes but is not limited to standardisation of project management artefacts (e.g. weekly reports, action logs, etc.) in order to support delivery to improve our ways of working across the wider CDS delivery team and our overall portfolio view.
  • Coordination and/or execution of various administrative and other support activities in support of wider CDS team. Examples include but are not limited to: hiring-related support activities; Maintenance and delivery of induction training; Training teams on compliance standards; Coordinating and running meetings; Holiday tracking; Resolving stakeholders requests/queries; Ensuring the quality of data maintained and processed across PMO is accurate, up to date and comprehensive; etc.).
  • Effective operation of existing processes and creating / developing and managing implementation of new / revised processes and tools to drive the overall goals of the PMO function and to improve reporting efficiency and better inform decision making.

What We're Looking For

  • Sound experience of the project management lifecycle and the governance aspects thereof.
  • Strong Excel skills underpinned by a robust understanding of how to analyse financial and project data.
  • Strong interest in reporting, excellent presentation skills and an eye for detail coupled with strong PowerPoint knowledge and presentation skills, balanced by sound stakeholder management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write and present a range of written materials (presentations, briefings, reports) and to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in various global locations.
  • Any graduate .

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Experience of developing and managing data reporting would be advantageous, with a background in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets are highly preferred.
  • Knowledge in program/project management, and delivery and implementation of large technology solutions.
  • Good understanding of system development life cycle, project management and system implementation lifecycle methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of complex issues, ability to quickly absorb information, conceptual and creative problem-solving excellence.
