Data Engineer Lead (ETL / Databricks / Power BI)

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Lead who has strong expertise in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines using ETL tools, Databricks, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will work closely with analytics, business, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Build scalable and optimized data solutions using Databricks.
• Develop and publish interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business consumption.
• Implement data quality checks, validations, and automation across workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Optimize performance of data pipelines and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance across data assets.
• Document processes, architecture, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or BI development.
• Strong experience with ETL design & development (any ETL tool or custom ETL frameworks).
• Expertise in Databricks, including PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and notebooks.
• Good knowledge of Power BI: DAX, data modelling, report building, workspace management.
• Solid understanding of SQL, data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning.
• Experience with version control tools (Git/Bitbucket) and CI/CD is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
