Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure data solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data engineering, SQL, PySpark, and data modelling, with exposure of Power BI for reporting and visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement data architecture strategies aligned with business goals.
- Design and optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows using PySpark and SQL.
- Develop and maintain data models (dimensional, relational, star schema) for analytics and BI.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide guidance on data integration, storage, and performance optimization.
- Support visualization and reporting needs using Power BI (basic level).
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PySpark for big data processing.
- Expertise in data modelling and database design principles.
- Exposure to Power BI for dashboarding and reporting.
- Experience with distributed data systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and modern data architectures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in performance tuning of Spark jobs and data workflows.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security standards.
