Role Description The Cyber Security Intern role at Meritshot is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The intern will assist in monitoring systems and networks for security incidents, analyzing alerts, and documenting findings. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting vulnerability assessments, helping implement security controls, and contributing to incident response activities under guidance from senior team members. The intern will also research emerging threats, assist in updating security policies and procedures, and help prepare reports and documentation for internal stakeholders. Collaboration with mentors and cross-functional teams will be key to learning industry best practices and building a strong foundation in cyber security.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including understanding of security principles, risk management basics, and common threat vectors.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, including familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network configurations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including awareness of common application vulnerabilities and secure coding or testing practices.
- Candidates should possess general Cyber skills, such as basic knowledge of operating systems, networking fundamentals, and security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nmap, vulnerability scanners).
- Preferred qualifications include current enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Beneficial qualifications include relevant certifications or coursework (e.g., Security+, CEH fundamentals), strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site in Noida are also important.
Stipend : 20k to 25k a month, PPO 6 to 8 LPA based on performance.
