As Customs Compliance Analyst, we look forward to your expertise in two core areas : A. CORE CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE : - Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Customs Compliance, including but not limited to, adherence to GST legislation, MOOWR regimes and SEZ schemes - Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Customs Classification (including extensive knowledge of GIR and relevant notifications & circulars), Valuation and rules for determining Country of Origin - Demonstrate capability to apply Customs legislation to Apple's business & their business partners - Creation of Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) for various aspects of Apple's business and supply chains. - Appropriate application of relevant HS codes and determination of related duty rates - Capable of analysing notifications, identifying possible interpretation concerns and communicating these to wider Apple teams. - Management of Apple's external Customs brokers ensuring compliance is maintained and duty payments are accurate B. AUDIT RESPONSIBILITIES : - Develop & maintain internal controls which demonstrate accuracy & compliance of all regulations - Conduct periodic internal audits to identify gaps in process - Primary point of contact for all audit requests issues by Indian Customs
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors / Masters Degree from a reputed school
Preferred Qualifications
5-8 years of experience in Customs Compliance
Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, problem solving and organizational skills
Attention to detail and proven ability to meet tight deadlines
Motivated, flexible, a self-starter with ability to work individually and in teams.
