CORPORATE TREASURY

Corporate Treasury manages the firm's liquidity, funding, balance sheet and capital to maximize net interest income and return on equity through liability planning and execution, financial resource allocation, asset liability management, and liquidity portfolio management.

YOUR IMPACT

We are looking for a highly analytical, self-starter, strategic & process design expert to join our Treasury Services Payments Reporting function within Operations. Your role will include working with teams across Operations to identify regulatory reporing requirements, create elaborate procedural documents, plan out work for execution on delivery of regulatory reports, assist in evaluating the reports and the numbers, to help teams meet the goals and objectives of the division's strategy.

Corporate Treasury Operations (CTO) is a sub division of the Corporate Treasury Division. As a global, multi-faceted and cross-product sub division, our primary objectives are to: lead the development of new payments-centric businesses, while building scale and improving agility to adapt to a rapidly changing payment landscape; act as a first line of defense for control and governance to protect firm's financial assets; and incorporate differentiated client service to be best in class. Corporate Treasury Operations is a growing subdivision globally, with regional presence in Singapore, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, London, New York, Dallas and Salt Lake City with all our offices working closely together as a global team.

The sub division has a rare opportunity to interface with all businesses ranging across existing and new business lines, multiple payment types, and multiple client types, including institutional/franchise, consumer and corporate cash management sectors. We manage a wide range of complex processes, with members developing skills and competencies around cash management (payment controls, bank account management, settlements and reconciliations, claims), change management, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.

Corporate Treasury Services Payments Reporting(CTPR) Team is a global cross-Operations team that acts as a center of regulatory reporting for payment operations excellence for Operations. CTPR plans and executes Operations projects related to regulatory report generation with significant risk and / or strategy implications in partnership with business units and technology.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

The team is seeking a skilled professional who will provide business insights on settlements function , regulatory reporting and evaluating data for reporting. In this role, you will apply your quantitative, problem solving and customer service skills to support the functional areas within Corporate Treasury Operations. You will also play a key role in suggesting and implementing process improvements for the team to mitigate risks and enhance the regulatory reporting landscape to create positive client experience.

Job Summary And Responsbilities

  • Create and implement a framework for quality review, including sustainability and quality control methodology and standards for regulatory related deliverables for firmwide payments
  • Analyze data, policies and procedures and other information to gain an intimate knowledge of the firm's payment regulatory landscape, controls and applicable regulations
  • Define standards related to assessing the completeness of implementation, accuracy of documentation, and the review and challenge of remediation efforts for payment reporting deliverables
  • Assess and challenge all controls to ensure proper implementation and sustainability in reporting processes
  • Execute multiple projects at the same time and meet tight deadlines, while being detail-and risk-oriented
  • Contribute to the execution of payments related regulatory reporting obligations and develop subject matter expertise
  • Perform analysis to detect anomalies in the reporting data, investigate reporting issues demonstrating aptitude to work with range of data sets from big data to samples
  • Identifying solution to correct system issues, documenting requirements to high quality, performing tests to identify an accurate resolution
  • Perform verification, validations and testing of the payments data provided by Engineering/ Operations teams prior to submission,
  • Work collaboratively across multiple business lines and stakeholder groups in strategic initiatives across the global Regulatory Operations department

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with experience in financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in SQL and developing queries is an advantage
  • Experience with using BI tooling (Alteryx, Tableau) and strong interest in process automation and data analytics would be an advantage.
  • Solid analytical/logical mindset and attention to detail
  • Must have strong communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas, provide timely escalation to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Good interpersonal skills to build strong relationship with key stakeholders within and outside of Operations,
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities within deadlines,
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, and work with Technology to help drive data smart solutions
  • Analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work within a high-risk environment and meet challenging deadlines and targets
  • Excellent analytical skills; comfortable working with large data sets and presenting findings that tell a clear, insightful and compelling story
  • Experience creating compelling narratives from data and influencing adoption of these narratives amongst cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of financial payments and industry standards such as SWIFT, ACH, FPS, Credit Cards, Payment technologies, Swifts etc
  • Experience in gathering and documenting requirements with full testing traceability
  • Have a proven track record of scoping and driving delivery of projects and achieving results independently
  • Understanding of databases, data models, and Extraction Transformation Load (ETL) processes preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management and business analysis
  • Working experience with operating on large data sets and BI tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or Bloomberg Regulatory Reporting Services is an added advantage
