The ideal candidate should have a flair for storytelling and be capable of producing insightful news stories, explainers and feature articles that help readers make sense of economic events and their real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover and analyze business, economy and financial developments from India and across the globe.
• Write high-quality news stories, explainers, feature articles and analysis on business, markets, policy and the economy.
• Simplify complex economic and financial concepts into easy-to-understand, engaging content for a diverse digital audience.
• Track key macroeconomic indicators, government policies, corporate developments and market trends.
• Generate original story ideas and identify emerging topics with high reader relevance.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure timely, accurate and impactful coverage.
• Maintain the highest standards of editorial accuracy, research and fact-checking.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics or Finance (preferred).
• 2-4 years of experience covering business, economy or financial news in a digital newsroom.
• Strong understanding of economics, finance, financial markets, banking and public policy.
• Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret data and reports.
• Demonstrated ability to write engaging feature articles, explainers and analytical content.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced digital publishing environment.
