About The Opportunity

Healthcare Pediatrics / Child Health Services sector. We deliver comprehensive pediatric care across outpatient, inpatient and emergency settings to improve child health outcomes at scale. This role is fully on-site in India and focuses on delivering evidence-based, family-centred clinical care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents.

Position: Consultant Pediatrician

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care across OPD, ward rounds and emergency departments: assess, diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
  • Manage inpatient care for neonates, infants and children including admission/discharge decisions, daily review, medication management and coordinating investigations.
  • Lead pediatric resuscitation and emergency interventions; maintain competency in PALS protocols and ensure timely escalation when required.
  • Oversee newborn care and basic NICU responsibilities as requiredstabilisation, feeding support, phototherapy and liaising with higher-level neonatal services when needed.
  • Counsel caregivers on growth & development, immunizations, nutrition, and chronic disease management; deliver family-centred education and follow-up plans.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, case reviews and multi-disciplinary team meetings.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MBBS with MD/DNB in Pediatrics or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification.
  • Minimum 25 years clinical experience post-specialisation in pediatric inpatient/outpatient settings (varies by seniority).
  • Hands-on experience in acute pediatric care, emergency stabilization and newborn management.
  • Valid medical registration in India and up-to-date certifications (PALS/ACLS preferred).
  • Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with hospital EMR systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in NICU/SCBU, immunisation programmes, or subspecialty exposure (neonatology, pediatric pulmonology, infectious diseases).
  • Experience in quality improvement, teaching junior staff or leading multi-disciplinary teams.
