Role Description The Consultant Paediatrician will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents in an on-site clinical setting located in Bangalore Urban. This part-time role involves conducting outpatient and inpatient assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic pediatric conditions, and overseeing preventive care such as vaccinations and growth monitoring. The Consultant Paediatrician will also manage neonatal cases, collaborate with other physicians and healthcare professionals, and participate in clinical decision-making and care planning. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements, providing guidance to junior staff, and communicating clearly with families about diagnosis, treatment options, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
  • Advanced skills in Pediatrics, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric conditions.
  • Experience or specialization in Neonatology, including care of newborns and high-risk infants.
  • Ability to work effectively with Physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (MD/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical council registration.
  • Demonstrated commitment to child safety, ethical practice, and family-centered care.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to manage busy pediatric and neonatal services.
  • Prior experience in hospital or multispecialty clinical settings; exposure to urban pediatric populations is an advantage.
