About Shrinika Eye Hospital

Shrinika Eye Hospital is a newly established eye care center committed to delivering comprehensive, ethical, and patient-centric ophthalmic services. While our hospital is new, it is built on a strong foundation of over a decade of hands-on experience in the eye care industry. Our Co-Founders are experienced optometrists with more than 10 years of clinical expertise, bringing deep knowledge and a patient-first approach to every aspect of care.

We currently offer comprehensive Outpatient Department (OPD) services along with advanced Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) diagnostics, enabling accurate evaluation and management of a wide range of eye conditions. As part of our vision for growth, we will soon be integrating a fully equipped Operation Theatre (OT) to provide advanced surgical eye care under one roof.

Job Summary

Shrinika Eye Hospital is looking for a dedicated and patient-focused Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our growing clinical team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced optometrists and visiting super-specialists while contributing to the growth of an emerging center of excellence in eye care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all age groups.
  • Diagnose and manage common ophthalmic conditions, including refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye disease, conjunctivitis, diabetic eye disease, and other routine eye disorders.
  • Perform slit-lamp examination, fundoscopy, tonometry, refraction, and other routine ophthalmic evaluations.
  • Review and interpret ophthalmic investigations, including OCT and other diagnostic imaging.
  • Prescribe medications, spectacles, and evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Identify patients requiring advanced ophthalmic evaluation or specialized treatment and coordinate their care with the appropriate specialist.
  • Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, preventive eye care, and follow-up plans.
  • Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Collaborate effectively with optometrists, visiting consultants, and clinical support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and ethical medical practices.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives, vision screening camps, and eye health awareness programs whenever required.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS with MS/DNB/DO in Ophthalmology (or an equivalent qualification recognized by the National Medical Commission).
  • Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the respective State Medical Council.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of clinical experience in Ophthalmology.
  • Experience in comprehensive OPD-based eye care will be preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in handling a diverse range of ophthalmic cases will have an added advantage.
