Role Overview
Bosch is expanding its internalSoC Readiness and Capability-Building Programto strengthen associate expertise inSemiconductor, Embedded, and Connectivity domains.
We are looking for aSenior Consultantwith deep experience inSoC-level development, testing, and system bring-uppreferably with exposure toQualcomm or similar semiconductor ecosystems. The consultant will mentor and guide engineers through structured learning, hands-on projects, and technical assessments aligned withindustry-level SoC development and validation standards.
The role involves bothtechnical mentoringandcapability-building, focusing on helping associates gain practical exposure to SoC architecture, firmware integration, debugging, and connectivity stack validation.
Key Responsibilities
Mentorship & Technical Coaching
- Conduct structured mentoring sessions onSoC Architecture, Embedded Systems, Firmware, and Connectivity (Bluetooth, WLAN, Modem, GNSS, etc.).
- Guide associates onsystem-level problem solving, debugging methodologies, and hardware-software integration.
- Provide direction oninterface bring-up (I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, USB, SDIO)andSoC validation workflows.
- Mentor engineers on working withQualcomm or similar SoC toolchains, including build systems, logging tools, and diagnostic utilities.
Interview Readiness & Evaluation
- Conductmock technical interviewssimulating semiconductor industry expectations and provide actionable feedback.
- Coach associates onarticulating technical concepts, debugging approaches, and communication clarityduring interviews.
- Evaluate associates readiness through structured assessments and identify areas for improvement.
Capstone Projects & Hands-on Learning
- Define and superviseSoC-oriented capstone projectsfocusing on embedded firmware, connectivity, and peripheral validation.
- Guide associates onlog analysis, debugging, and performance tuningusing relevant tools (e.g.,QXDM, QCAT, QFIL, QPST, QDSS) or equivalent.
- Ensure that each project delivers measurable skill growth and technical confidence.
Program Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate withinternal training and engineering teamsto align mentoring objectives with project and client needs.
- Provideperiodic progress dashboards, competency matrices, and readiness summariesfor management and review.
- Support the design ofstructured learning roadmapsmapped to semiconductor skill expectations.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1520 years of experience inEmbedded Systems, SoC Development, Wireless/Connectivity, orSystem Softwaredomains.
- Strong proficiency inC/C++/Python,Linux/RTOS,Device Drivers, andFirmware Development.
- Hands-on expertise inQualcomm or equivalent SoC environments, including tools such asQXDM, QCAT, QFIL, QPST, and log analysis methods.
- Experience withsystem bring-up, interface debugging, andhardware-software co-validation.
- Proficiency inhigh-speed digital design, EMI/EMC compliance, FPGA interfaces, power supply design, andsignal integrity(preferred).
- Proven mentoring capability and ability to design and delivertechnical learning and readiness programs.
