About the Project
Brookside Day Center is an upcoming initiative in Bangalore designed to provide meaningful day services, skill-building programs, and work-readiness pathways for adults with learning disabilities. The centre draws inspiration from established UK models and aims to create a safe, dignified, and empowering environment for adults to learn, engage, and grow.
We are seeking a consultant to support the planning, feasibility, and corporate partnership development required for launch.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a market and needs assessment for adult day services in Bangalore.
Map existing service providers and identify gaps and opportunities.
Engage families, therapists, special educators, and community groups.
Identify and connect with corporates for CSR partnerships, sponsorships, and work training opportunities.
Assist in designing corporate engagement proposals, MoUs, and pitch materials.
Lead parent/caregiver surveys, interviews, and stakeholder sessions.
Advise on operational and regulatory requirements under the RPWD Act and Karnataka norms.
Recommend staffing, facility layout, safeguarding practices, and operational SOPs.
Provide a launch roadmap with clear timelines and milestones.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years experience in disability services, special needs education, social work, rehabilitation, or related sectors.
Proven experience in CSR / corporate partnership building.
Strong networks within Bangalore's corporate and social impact ecosystem.
Experience conducting feasibility studies, market assessments, or similar research projects.
Understanding of Indian disability legislation and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
Desirable
Experience setting up centres, NGOs, vocational training programs, or community services.
Background in HR, DEI, CSR, or supported employment.
Knowledge of international models of adult day services.
