Who are we looking for
Our client, a global consulting firm, is looking for a consultant to support them on a Capital Program Management project for a major real-estate company in India. The project aims to ensure the timely delivery of multiple large capex projects while establishing best-in-class processes.
They are looking for someone with extensive experience in managing large capital expenditure projects in the real estate industry, preferably residential construction projects.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Project Manager, overseeing construction activities and critical Project Management Office (PMO) tasks
- Work as part of the consulting team to help the client ensure timely delivery of projects
- Identify opportunities to implement structural changes in construction practices, technologies, and ways of working
- Identify and report potential risks and delays, initiating mitigation strategies
- Resolve key challenges on-site in collaboration with site teams to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure that project milestones are met according to the established schedule
- Coordinate across various functions, including the Project Team, Project Management Consultant (PMC), and Design Team
- Establish a governance framework, including conducting reviews, monitoring key metrics, and preparing comprehensive reports
Skills & Qualification:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in managing large capital expenditure projects in the real estate industry, with a preference for residential projects
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering; a postgraduate degree from a top-tier university is preferred
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in the real estate sector
- Strong understanding of construction practices, technologies, and project management methodologies
- Excellent risk management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and teams
- Strong communication and reporting skills
Duration & Location: This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 12-month contract. The consultant will be required to be based in Gurgaon for the entire duration of the project.
