Role Description The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, loading programs, performing test runs, and adjusting settings to maintain dimensional accuracy. The role also involves routine inspection of parts, basic machine maintenance, documentation of production activities, and collaboration with engineers and quality teams to resolve issues. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Devanahalli, requiring close coordination with the production team to achieve output and safety targets.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and machining instructions.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup, operation, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and basic inspection methods.
- Familiarity with CNC programming concepts (G-code, offsets, feeds and speeds) and editing minor program changes.
- Understanding of manufacturing safety practices, machine maintenance routines, and shop-floor housekeeping.
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to follow standardized work procedures.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
- Completed vocational training, diploma, or certification in mechanical engineering, machining, or related field; prior experience in precision manufacturing or semiconductor/electronics-related machining is an advantage.
