Insight Direct India is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Cloud Infrastructure Engineer III to join our team. You'll use your deep knowledge of Azure, VMware, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) platforms to deliver impactful consulting services. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and optimizing hybrid cloud environments, while providing expert guidance on backup tools and robust disaster recovery solutions.
About the Role
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer III, you'll get to:
- Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their business objectives and technical requirements.
- Provide strategic consulting on cloud migration, optimization, and industry best practices.
- Manage and administer hybrid cloud environments, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and architectures.
- Collaborate seamlessly with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of cloud services.
- Apply a deep understanding of the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF).
- Utilize your skills with Microsoft Entra ID Connect, Azure AD DS, and other related technologies.
- Oversee the implementation and management of Public and internal DNS servers.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell, and Ansible.
- Leverage your familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure networking, Entra ID, AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop), SQL PaaS, Azure File Share, and more.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions using Azure native solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud services, features, and best practices.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, SQL PaaS, and security.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of Identity and Access Management principles and practices.
- Design and implement IAM policies to ensure secure and efficient user access management.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for VMware environments, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex issues within the VMware infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in cloud engineering and consulting, with a strong focus on Azure, VMware, and HCI platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in backup tools and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience in deployment and configuration of VEEAM/NetApp is a plus.
- Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong general Linux administration skills, including Shell scripting.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Design Expert, Nutanix) are highly desirable.
