Job Summary :

Cloud Hosting is a global program that demonstrates virtualization technology to manage project engineering systems at multiple centers. The Cloud Hosting Centers Engineer L-1 is responsible for Tier 1 activities supporting the Worldwide Centralized Engineering Infrastructure in the local CLOUD HOSTING center and remote support of other Cloud Hosting Centers. Tier 1 is the first-line support that handles medium complexity issues and activities such as systems deployment, support request resolution, and collaboration with other Emerson groups. Activities should be performed following existing documented processes and standards under our ISO 27002:2022 certification.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

1). System Administrator Windows and VMware. 2) Actively participate in daily operation and overall coordination of all activities related to the support of the Worldwide Centralized Engineering Infrastructure 3) Manage the virtual environments, including OS and virtual networking. Configure the virtual environments for individual projects on a day-to-day basis using templates and administration services. Ensure connectivity for the users. Ensure security and safety. 4) Actively participate in coordinating any setup activities with the local IT team 5) Contribute to maintaining equipment support, (re)certification of test and measurement equipment 6) Perform system installations for Emerson DeltaV software and hardware, powering-up and testing of these installations. Keep DeltaV firmware up to date according to project needs, knowledge base articles, and Emerson recommendations. 7) Conduct test activities related to system installation and power-up, configuring test applications, and performing DeltaV system hardware tests 8) Support the end users / front offices with connectivity issues, and with the internal testing and factory acceptance testing 9) Responsible for keeping all Emerson DeltaV equipment current for new releases and hotfixes. 10) Manage the cloud hosting engineering platform according to the existing guidelines, policies, and procedures 11) Ensure continuous achievement of CHS Service Level Agreement 12) Ensure that Cloud Hosting Centers services are exceeding customers expectations 13) Perform deployment of systems in a virtual environment. 14) Ensure resolution of support requests in a virtual environment, including support for Emerson applications and products such as DeltaV, Syncade, Mimic, etc., and any other staffing needs and workforce planning using systems and procedures as laid down by EEEC, in a timely and efficient manner. 15) Excellent communication & interpersonal skills 16) Ready to work in shift roster. (Morning 6 am to 3 pm.) Basic Qualifications

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience level in related field.
  • 3+ years experience in, VMware vSphere, VCenter, MS Windows server OS
  • Deployment of virtual machines in a large virtual environment
  • Networking (certifications desirable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • vRealize operations standard (vROPs)
  • Basic Networking knowledge.
  • PowerShell and PowerCLI Scripting skill.
  • Familiar with the Service Now Ticketing tool.
  • Experience using MS SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • Familiar with Global support culture.
