We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and resilient applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for leveraging a range of GCP services, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, and App Engine, to deploy our applications. You must be proficient in managing both MySQL and PostgreSQL databases on Cloud SQL and have hands-on experience with Firebase services. A working knowledge of Python and React is essential for collaborating across our full-stack team.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

• Design & Development: Architect, develop, and deploy robust, scalable applications on Google Cloud Platform, selecting the appropriate compute services (GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine) for each use case.

• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage the full lifecycle of our containerized applications using Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

• Database Management: Design database schemas, write efficient queries, and manage relational databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL) using Google Cloud SQL. Ensure database performance, availability, and security.

• Backend & Serverless: Develop and maintain serverless functions and backend services using Firebase (e.g., Firestore, Cloud Functions for Firebase, Firebase Authentication) and Cloud Run.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to ensure consistent and repeatable environments.

• CI/CD: Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Cloud Build or Jenkins to automate testing and deployment.

• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers to integrate React-based user interfaces with backend services and APIs. Use Python for scripting, automation, and backend logic as needed.

• Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor application performance, reliability, and cost using tools like Google Cloud's operations suite (formerly Stackdriver). Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.

What We're Looking For:

GCP Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.

Compute:

• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE): Proven experience deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications. Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts (Pods, Services, Deployments, Ingress).

• Cloud Run & App Engine: Demonstrable experience in deploying and managing serverless applications and services on both platforms.

Databases:

• MySQL & PostgreSQL: Strong proficiency in both database systems, including schema design, query optimization, and administration, preferably within Google Cloud SQL.

Backend Services:

• Firebase: Solid working knowledge of the Firebase ecosystem, including Firestore/Realtime Database, Firebase Authentication, and Cloud Functions for Firebase.

Languages:

• Python: Working proficiency for backend development, scripting, and automation.

• React: Basic, functional knowledge to understand front-end components and collaborate on API integrations.

DevOps: Experience with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Cloud Build, Git).

Tools: Proficient with Git for version control and Docker for containerization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer or Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
• Familiarity with other GCP services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
• Knowledge of networking concepts within GCP (VPC, Firewall Rules, Load Balancing).
