Job Description
- Develop and execute the F&V category strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for category expansion.
- Manage the P&L for the Fruits & Vegetables category, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
- Monitor and drive improvements in category profitability through effective pricing, promotion, and cost management.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2 category management professionals.
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support team development.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate terms, manage contracts, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of products.
- Develop and execute category plans that enhance the product assortment, drive customer satisfaction, and increase market share.
- Oversee product lifecycle management, from introduction to discontinuation.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to align category strategies with overall business goals.
- Ensure effective execution of category plans across all channels.
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess category performance.
- Implement action plans to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.
