We currently have an exciting position for an expert Senior Manager to join our Industrial Products team in Pune (India) .The responsibility of this position applies to one or more of Siemens Energy (Industrial Applications) Product Lines, which includes Centrifugal Compressors, Gas Turbines and Reciprocating Compressors.
How You'll Make an Impact.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 15-20 years of proven experience in Turbomachinery (Steam Turbine/Turbo Compressor/Gas Turbine/Reciprocating Compressor) including knowledge of industry standards (API, ASME, etc.)
Prior experience of leading small teams is preferred
Experience in communicating/coordinating with Global collaborators
Field service experience on rotating equipment like Turbo / Recip Compressors, Steam turbines or Gas turbines will be an added advantage
Willing to work in all 3 shifts including weekends - 24*7 support rotational shifts
Ability to acquire proficiency in navigating legacy fleet information that may not be available electronically. Experience with rotating equipment, terminologies, and applications, and has a sound background in engineering fundamentals
Knowledge of Salesforce.com, SAP, Teamcenter, and Microsoft products, and ability to quickly learn how to function efficiently in these systems
Strong fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles
Knowledge of engineering document types, standards, and specifications, including the associated storage, retrieval, and revision methods.
Ability to communicate and convey ideas effectively to peers, suppliers and customers, and deliver technical presentations to customers and management.
Excellent social skills as well as professional appearance to ensure first class customer interaction
Ability to act as lead for specified projects, and drive actions
Ability to identify significant engineering issues and advance accordingly
Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
Ability to assess technical risk based on available data and/or calculation results
Sensitivity to factors that may have safety, commercial, and/or manufacturing consequences
Ability to organize and continuously improve a team knowledge base and apply lean methods within daily work
Participate in and/or conduct process and design FMEA and RCA or equivalent experience as a part of multi-functional team, as required
What you Bring!
Consistently work within all safety guidelines and compliant to applicable laws and regulations
Point contact into Siemens Energy Technical Support as part of the Industrial Applications team.
Provide Level 1 technical recommendations and solutions to the Siemens operating fleet inquiries based on information that already exists in Fleet Owner documentation (instruction books, drawings, BOMs, procedures, specifications, etc.)
Implement pre-approved design exceptions and instructions as part of repairs and non-conformances
Provide part clarifications and quote support to the marketing organization.
In conjunction with product line engineering, provide technical instructions and clarifications to manufacturing or supply chain management, and support product deviation dispositions
Provide typical recommendations on maintenance scope and intervals
Provide Level 2 Technical Support to the Siemens industrial applications operating fleet
Generate technical recommendations and solutions for the fleet, by reviewing designs and performing the vital calculations or analyses.
Provide technical recommendations to Field Service and support unit operation solving activities
Provide service repair quote support to the marketing organization
Serve as engineering lead for specified projects, ensuring tasks are completed within budgets.
Support Level 3 root cause investigations as required
Candidate will be responsible for overall coordination of work with different collaborators and with all 3 product lines
Responsible for planning, organizing, monitoring, securing and handling available resources optimally to achieve KPI's
