Exp- 20 + years
Aircraft Technical Authority
- Own aircraft-level architecture, system decomposition, interfaces, and configuration baseline
- Serve as final authority for design decisions, trade studies, and technical risk acceptance
Technical Integration & Governance
- Ensure end-to-end integration of all aircraft subsystems
- Resolve cross-disciplinary issues and ensure compliance with aircraft-level requirements
Design Review Leadership
- Chair and approve SRR, PDR, and CDR reviews
- Define phase entry/exit criteria and approve interfaces, design changes, and configurations
Safety & Certification
- Ensure alignment with safety objectives and certification strategy
- Oversee FHA, PSSA, SSA activities and support regulatory engagement
- Act as senior technical representative to aviation authorities
Program & Stakeholder Interface
- Represent engineering to executives, customers, partners, and regulators
- Communicate technical status, risks, and tradeoffs; support program milestones
Engineering Leadership
- Mentor engineering leaders and enforce standards, processes, and best practices
- Foster a culture of technical rigor, safety, and accountability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 25+ years engineering experience; 15+ years in aircraft/aerospace development
- Prior experience as Chief Engineer, Technical Director, or equivalent on complex programs
- Strong expertise in systems integration, certification (FAA/EASA), ARP4754A/ARP4761
- Proven leader of multidisciplinary teams and complex technical decisions
- Based in Québec, Canada; bilingual in English and French
