Role Overview

Urban Company is looking for a passionate and skilled Chef / Culinary Trainer to join our growing team!

If you love teaching, mentoring, and sharing culinary knowledge, this role is perfect for you. You'll play a key role in training chefs and home cooks, focusing on north & south Indian and international cuisines, professional grooming, and basic business acumen to help them excel in their roles.

Role: Chef / Culinary Trainer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct hands-on training in North Indian, South Indian and international cuisines (bonus for knowing regional Indian cuisines)

2. Teach kitchen hygiene, plating, and professional grooming standards

3. Mentor cooks to improve customer interaction and soft skills

4. Understand and explain basic business needs, including portion control and cost awareness

5. Ensure consistent quality and operational excellence

What We're Looking For:

1. Proven experience as a Chef, Culinary Trainer, or Culinary Consultant

2. Expertise in multi-cuisine cooking with a focus on Indian north and south cuisine

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

4. Ability to train and motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds

5. Business understanding to align training with organizational goals

6. Flexibility to travel 15 days a month across India and work 6 days / week
