The Channel Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic channel partners, alliances, and key accounts to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and partner profitability. The role works closely with distributors, system integrators, and alliance partners to execute the channel strategy, grow market share, and increase partner engagement while aligning with the organization's business objectives..
What will you do
Channel Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute channel business plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Drive revenue growth through managed partners and strategic alliances.
- Expand partner coverage and recruit new high-potential partners.
- Increase partner commitment, loyalty, and share of wallet
Partner Relationship Management
- Build executive-level relationships with key partners and alliance stakeholders.
- Conduct regular business reviews and joint planning sessions.
- Develop and maintain strategic account plans with managed partners.
- Manage partner performance and drive corrective actions where required.
Revenue & Pipeline Management
- Own quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and manage partner-generated pipeline.
- Drive demand generation and lead conversion activities.
- Support partners in identifying and closing opportunities.
Partner Enablement & Marketing
- Increase partner sales and technical competencies through training programs.
- Drive partner participation in certification and enablement initiatives.
- Plan and execute MDF and co-marketing activities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns and events.
What qualifications will make you successful
- Bachelor's Degree in Science / Engineering or related field.
- Working experience:
- Proven work experience as a Channel Account Manager
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in IT system integration or enterprise partner & Alliances
- Proven track record in meeting individual quarterly and annual sales targets
- Experience in delivering partner-focused solutions to customer needs
- Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results. Ability to effectively lead and work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
- Demonstrate a strong bias for action and hands-on approach
- Experience in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce), MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Proven ability to juggle multiple channel management opportunities at one time, while maintaining sharp attention to details
- Highly organised, proactive, entrepreneurial and innovative
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) & presentation skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders.
- Keen listener, excellent negotiation and presentation abilities
- Able to think both strategically and operationally to drive closed loop execution
