This role supports on-site installation, commissioning and maintenance of video surveillance systems for enterprise and facility-security projects.
Role Title: CCTV Technician
Location & Workplace

Role & Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end installation and commissioning of CCTV systems including IP and analog cameras, DVRs/NVRs, VMS and associated network/POE equipment.
- Carry out site surveys, cable routing, termination (BNC/RJ45), and mounting/positioning of cameras to meet coverage and evidentiary requirements.
- Configure network settings, POE switches, camera IPs, recording schedules and user access on DVR/NVR and VMS platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve camera, recording, and network faults; perform preventive maintenance and on-call troubleshooting for uptime SLAs.
- Document installations, wiring diagrams, commissioning reports and handover packets for clients; ensure system labeling and inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to safety, site access protocols and customer policies; collaborate with project managers and electricians to meet project timelines.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven hands-on experience installing IP and analog CCTV systems.
- Working knowledge of DVR/NVR platforms and mainstream VMS solutions.
- Practical skills in network fundamentals IP addressing, subnetting and PoE configuration.
- Proficiency in cable termination and testing (BNC, coax, CAT5e/CAT6, RJ45).
- Ability to conduct site surveys, camera alignment (PTZ calibration) and lighting/coverage assessment.
- Strong documentation practice: site drawings, punch-lists and commissioning reports.
Preferred
- Certification or training in CCTV/security systems or network fundamentals (e.g., vendor training).
- Experience with cloud-managed VMS or remote monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with access control integration and alarm interfacing.
