Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cathlab Technician role based in Shivamogga at Nanjappa Life Care and associated facilities. The Cathlab Technician will assist cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, and other catheter-based interventions, while maintaining strict adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing the Cathlab for procedures, setting up and operating imaging and monitoring equipment, ensuring proper sterilization of instruments, and supporting vascular access and contrast administration as per instructions. The role involves continuous monitoring of patients during procedures, accurate documentation of findings and consumables, and coordination with nursing and medical teams to ensure streamlined workflow. The Cathlab Technician will also participate in equipment checks, inventory management, radiation safety practices, and emergency preparedness within the Cathlab environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in operating Cathlab imaging systems, hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and related interventional cardiology devices.
- Candidates should possess skills in patient preparation, sterile technique, infection control, and adherence to radiation safety and occupational health guidelines.
- Candidates should possess skills in clinical documentation, basic computer usage, and maintaining accurate records of procedures, supplies, and equipment status.
- Candidates should possess skills in teamwork, communication with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, and the ability to support high-pressure emergency and elective procedures.
- Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in Cardiac Technology, Radiologic Technology, or an equivalent allied health program, with Cathlab experience preferred.
- Candidates should possess registration or licensure as required by local regulations, along with up-to-date training in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), where applicable.
- Candidates should possess a commitment to patient-centered care, attention to detail, and willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duty.
