Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, marketing, and sales to develop and launch new products.
  • Manage product assortment, pricing, and inventory levels to optimize sales and margin performance.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, category metrics, and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Establish strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms to ensure product quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, and marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive traffic.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of category specialists or associates, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
