Key Responsibilities:
Calibration Activities:
- Perform routine and non-routine calibration of instruments and equipment (e.g., pressure gauges, thermometers, balances, pH meters, flow meters).
- Ensure equipment is calibrated according to the required standards (e.g., ISO, NABL, GMP, etc.).
- Maintain calibration standards and reference instruments traceable to national/international standards.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain detailed and accurate calibration records, certificates, and reports.
- Ensure all documentation complies with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
- Participate in audits (internal/external) and provide calibration-related documentation when required.
Equipment Management:
- Maintain a database of instruments and calibration schedules.
- Tag equipment with calibration status labels and monitor due dates.
- Identify and isolate equipment that is out of tolerance or due for calibration.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
- Diagnose issues with measurement equipment and perform minor repairs or coordinate with vendors for major servicing.
- Investigate out-of-specification results and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Process Improvement:
- Recommend improvements to calibration procedures and equipment selection.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement accuracy and reliability.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 25 years of experience in calibration and instrumentation, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, automotive, aerospace, etc.)
Skills:
- Strong understanding of measurement principles and calibration techniques.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISO/IEC 17025, GMP, or GLP.
- Proficient in using calibration software and tools.
- Attention to detail and good analytical skills.
