We are seeking a Buyer – Indirect Materials to manage the sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services that support business operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supplier identification, sourcing, price negotiation, purchase order management, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining cost, quality, and service objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure indirect materials and services including MRO, office supplies, IT hardware/software, facilities, packaging, logistics, and professional services.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers to support business requirements.
- Conduct RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and competitive bidding activities.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
- Create and manage purchase orders, monitor order status, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while tracking supplier performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and provide sourcing solutions.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procurement procedures.
- Resolve supplier-related issues involving quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports using SAP and MS Excel.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing of indirect materials and services.
- Knowledge of RFQ/RFP processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.
- Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, FMCG, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with strategic sourcing and supplier performance management.
