Job Description

AKWEL is an international and independent automotive components manufacturer operating in two main areas of activity: fluids management and mechanisms. As a Tier 1 supplier, with an industrial presence in 20 countries covering 5 continents, and 34 manufacturing sites, the group has more than 8,000 employees.

We are looking for:

BUYER

Main responsibilities and duties :

  • For a dedicated Region, Material Group or Countries for indirect, based on guidance given by his/her Senior Buyer or Director or recommendation from Commodity Lead Buyer (CLB), the Buyer is fully responsible for managing his/her suppliers base from Start of Production until business end of life.
  • The Buyer is responsible about the Operational Performance KPIs achievement, and supplier action plan follow up in case of deviation.
  • The Buyer is in close contact with the CLB to ensure the Purchasing Strategy execution and Performance review.
  • The Buyer is responsible about the Productivity Plan definition and execution with suppliers, in relation with product line teams and operations.
  • The buyer is involved in the Budget definition, but responsible for the execution and reporting on his commodity
  • He is the first contact in case of escalation.

Requirements :

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering.
  • More than 5 years of experience in the automotive industry procurement.

  • Knowledge in finance & cash management
  • English Fluent, other language used in the perimeter of activity is a plus
  • Good IT skills: Office, SAP

Technical knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of working in SAP
  • Results-oriented, with QCDP mindset
  • Purchasing process knowledge:
  • Supply base management
  • Management of RFQ processes & sourcing
  • Contracts management (negotiation, legal,...)
  • Project management
