We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development & Production General Manager to lead our Business Development and Production functions and support the overall management of our Singapore subsidiary.
This leadership role is responsible for driving business growth, overseeing production and procurement operations, managing profitability, supporting cross-functional business management across the Singapore organization, strengthening collaboration among departments, and serving as the key liaison with our Japan Headquarters to support the effective management and sustainable growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Lead business development, customer relationship management, and identify new business opportunities.
- Oversee production planning, procurement, project profitability, and operational performance.
- Manage budgets, business forecasts, financial performance, and business reporting.
- Lead, coach, and develop department managers while supporting recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.
- Coordinate closely with Japan Headquarters on business operations, corporate initiatives, governance, and management reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, financial institutions, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, audit, and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven senior management experience in business development, production, procurement, and business operations.
- Strong knowledge of business planning, budgeting, financial management, and contract administration.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving business performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Japanese (spoken, written and reading) is required due to frequent communication with Japan Headquarters and Japanese-speaking customers, including business discussions, management reporting, and contract negotiations.
