Job Description:

This is a remote position.

We're Hiring a Business Development Manager with experience in Agency, SaaS, or B2B Sales, to Lead our Sales Team at WittyPen.

Join WittyPen as we expand our B2B client base across various sectors, including SaaS, finance, healthcare, lifestyle, and Ed-tech. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Manager, preferably located in Mumbai or willing to relocate. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4-8 years of experience in business development, particularly in the B2B domains of Agency, Technology, SaaS, or related fields.

This is a core team role, and you'll be driving the sales vertical with a larger upside in long term.

WittyPen is a platform that connects hundreds of businesses with quality content from freelance writers worldwide. We are on a mission to simplify content creation, helping businesses grow while enabling content writers to earn well from anywhere in the world.


As Business Development Manager, you will lead our sales team, driving sales growth and working closely with the founders to hire and mentor the next generation of sales talents.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Growth Planning: Design and implement a strategic sales plan that aligns with company goals.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and manage the sales team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish connections with top executives, decision-makers of global companies, and potential partners.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Define sales targets and ensure the execution of sales strategies to meet or exceed these targets.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain lasting relationships with key clients, seeking opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Market Analysis & Research: Analyse market trends, identify new business opportunities and competitive landscape.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Regularly review sales performance and report to the higher management.

About You:

  • 4-8 years of experience in B2B Marketing, agency, or SaaS sales.
  • Proven track record in business development, preferably in Marketing Agencies.
  • Robust relationships with both agencies and clients.
  • Proven experience in managing complete sales cycles, including handling major deals.
  • Consistently met or exceeded sales quotas in the past.
  • Ensures diligent maintenance of CRM for precise deal forecasting.
  • Practical experience with CRM and Sales Engagement platforms.
  • Prior exposure to mar-tech, ad-tech, or agency environments is a plus, though not required.


This is a remote position with flexible work hours between 10am-8pm, 40hrs a week. The role requires your presence in our office in Mumbai, India, and availability for in-person meetings with clients.
