Role Overview
As a Business Development Intern in the Education team, you will support lead conversion, student counselling, and B2B partner outreach. You will work closely with the BD team to handle student queries, conduct follow-ups, maintain trackers, and assist in onboarding partners. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and an interest in sales and education services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Conversion & Counselling Support
- Connect with interested student leads to explain benefits and assist in conversions.
- Conduct regular follow-ups via calls, WhatsApp, and email.
- Support the team in meeting weekly conversion goals.
2. B2B Outreach Assistance
- Identify coaching institutes, consultants, and aggregators for partnership opportunities.
- Support senior team members in pitching partnership plans and onboarding new partners.
- Maintain partner and lead details in the CRM.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure a smooth pre- and post-sales experience for students and partners.
- Collect feedback and share insights with the team to improve processes.
4. Reporting & Coordination
- Update daily logs of calls, leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
- Coordinate with BD & Operations teams for voucher delivery, payment updates, and documentation.
- Maintain clean and accurate CRM/Excel trackers.
Must-Have Skills
1. Communication & Persuasion
- Good spoken English and Hindi (mandatory).
- Fluency in any South Indian language (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam) is a plus.
2. Sales Orientation & Learning Agility
- Interest in learning sales and BD processes.
- Willingness to work with targets and manage follow-ups.
3. Product Learning Ability
- Quick understanding of exam vouchers, discounts, and partner offerings.
- Ability to explain value to students and partners.
4. CRM Discipline & Data Entry
- Basic experience with Excel or CRM tools.
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.
5. Professionalism & Collaboration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Keeps the team informed on progress, blockers, and updates.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Prior exposure to EdTech, Study Abroad, or Counselling (even through internships/projects).
- Experience in lead calling or sales is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets for basic reporting.
