Position Overview: The IT Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our IT capabilities and business objectives. This position involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs, translating them into technical requirements, and ensuring that our IT solutions meet these requirements effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough business process analysis and requirements gathering
Develop detailed documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps
Liaise between the IT department and business units to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals and requirements
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to elicit requirements and feedback
Analyze and model business processes to identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies
Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of IT solutions, ensuring they meet business needs
Support project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress
Conduct user training and provide ongoing support for implemented systems
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role working for start up organizations or high growth organizations
Strong understanding of business processes, systems analysis, and software development lifecycle
Proficiency in using business analysis tools and techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience with project management methodologies is a plus
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (PMP) is preferred
