Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Industrial IoT (IIoT) and Operational Technology (OT) domains. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, define requirements, and support the design & delivery of IIoT/OT-enabled solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, operations teams, and technical groups to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Understand and interpret industrial processes, OT systems, and IIoT platforms to propose effective digital solutions.
- Translate business needs into detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and use-case documentation.
- Support solution design and architecture teams by providing domain insights on SCADA, PLC, industrial networks, and IoT environments.
- Evaluate existing OT/IIoT systems, identify improvement areas, and propose optimization strategies.
- Work with implementation teams during development, integration, and testing phases to ensure requirements are met.
- Facilitate UAT sessions, gather feedback, and support solution rollout.
- Serve as a communication bridge between business stakeholders and the technical/engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity guidelines, and best practices for OT/IIoT systems.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and project documentation for management and clients.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably within IIoT / OT / industrial automation domains.
- Strong understanding of OT systems like SCADA, PLC, DCS, MES, industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, MQTT, etc.).
- Experience with IIoT platforms, edge devices, analytics dashboards, and industrial data models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert business challenges into technical requirements.
- Excellent documentation skills (BRD, FRD, user stories, workflows).
- Good understanding of manufacturing/industrial operations and digital transformation frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Exposure to cloud IoT platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, PTC ThingWorx, Ignition).
- Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, or OT/industrial technologies.
